Michal Sup (born September 24, 1973 in Prague , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player .

Career

Sup began his career in 1990 with the Czechoslovak first division club HC Sparta Prague . There he initially only stayed one season and in 1991 moved to the Canadian Junior League WHL for the Kamloops Blazers . After the striker did not get along in North America, however, he returned to the Czech Republic a year later to his hometown club HC Sparta Prague.

For the 1996/97 season he moved to city rivals HC Slavia Prague , for whom he played until 2008 and with whom he won two championships . For the 2008/09 season Michal Sup signed a contract with EV Duisburg from the German Ice Hockey League . After the Duisburg bankruptcy in March 2009, he played for BK Mladá Boleslav in the 2009/10 season . Then he ended his career.

International

Michael Sup played for the Czech national team at the 2003 World Championships in Finland and 2004 in his home country of the Czech Republic.
