Michel Diercks

Michel Diercks (* 1988 in Hamburg ) is a German actor .

Life

Diercks, born in Hamburg, grew up in the Altes Land . He attended the writing workshop at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in his hometown . After graduating from high school, there followed acting workshops at the Steve Beauchamp Acting Studio East in New York City and with the coaching team Frank Betzelt in Berlin ; there he worked with Kai Ivo Baulitz . From 2009-2010 he went to the drama school in Berlin at the European Theater Institute (ETI). He then studied acting at the Babelsberg Konrad Wolf Film University in Potsdam from 2010 to 2014 . There he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in “Drama - Acting”.

During his studies he had his first theater roles at the Maxim Gorki Theater (2011) and in Potsdam at the Hans Otto Theater (season 2012/13; there, among others, as Oberst / Beckmann in “ Outside front door ” by Wolfgang Borchert ). In the 2013/14 season he appeared with the Junge Ensemble Stuttgart (JES) in the title role of Goethe's tragedy “ Clavigo ” (director: Kristo Šagor ). In 2014 he took on the role of Tommy in the children's and youth theater play “ Pippi Longstocking ” at the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz . Since the 2015/16 season he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel Chemnitz.

His previous roles there included a. Mitch in “ Robin Hood ” (2015), Paris in “Romeo and Juliet on Abbey Road” (2015; musical based on William Shakespeare with music by the Beatles ), A. Ratt / Amme in “Camino Real” by Tennessee Williams (season 2015/16), Scipio in “ Caligula ” (2015/16 season, premiere: March 2016) and Elvis in the world premiere of Uta Bierbaum's play “The tenderness of the dogs” (2015/16 season, premiere: April 2016). In 2016 he took on roles in the plays " Reineke Fuchs " and " Struwwelpeter " in the children's and youth theater . In the 2016/17 season he played the actor Grinberg in the comedy “ Poland is not yet lost ” by Jürgen Hofmann (based on Melchior Lengyel's script for “To be or not to be ” by Ernst Lubitsch ); Diercks will also take on this role in subsequent performances in the 2017/18 season. In June 2017, he played the knight Gawain in the open-air production “ The Red Knight ” (based on Wolfram von Eschenbach ) by the Chemnitz Theater on the Küchwaldbühne. He also worked as an actor in the 2016/17 season at the Chemnitz Puppet Theater in the world premiere of the production "Beate Uwe Uwe Selfie Click - a European grotesque".

Diercks took on his first film work in 2010/11, initially in commercials and short films. In April 2012 in the ZDF documentary series Terra X , he was seen in a documentary film entitled "Friedrich the Great - All or Nothing" as Hans Hermann von Katte , Friedrich II's childhood friend . He had his first leading role in a movie in the horror thriller " The Samurai " (2014) by director Till Kleinert , which was shown in February 2014 in the section "Perspektive Deutsches Kino" at the Berlin International Film Festival . Diercks played the young police officer Jakob Wolski, who is responsible for the security of the villagers in a small village in Brandenburg , near the border with Poland , and who, while looking for a wolf , meets a feral man ( Pit Bukowski ) in the forest .

Other leading and supporting roles in the cinema followed, some in international productions. In May 2015 he was seen on German television in a leading role in the television series “ In aller Freund ”; He played the gay Marc Scholz, who has difficulty being open about his homosexuality . In April 2016 he was seen in the ZDF Sunday film “ Twice a Second Life ”, alongside Jessica Schwarz , in a supporting role, he played the student Felix Schulz, whose father is in a coma. In the ZDF crime series " SOKO Wismar " (first broadcast: April 2018) he had a leading role as star chef Christian Bahlbeck, who is supposed to take over his father's fish restaurant, and kills him in an argument. In the 18th season of the ZDF series " SOKO Leipzig ", he took on a leading role as start-up entrepreneur Rafael Kuhn, whose best friend was murdered, in the opening episode, which was first broadcast in September 2018 . He had other episode roles in the TV series “ Notruf Hafenkante ” (2019, as drug dealer Phil Zukowski) and “ WaPo Berlin ” (2020, as bookseller Florian Engert, alongside Dominique Chiout ).

Photography is one of Dierck's hobbies . Diercks, who also has an Instagram channel, lives in Chemnitz.
