Mount Carmel is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Rosa County in the US state of Florida with a population of 227 (as of 2010).

Mount Carmel is about 40 km north of Milton and about 65 km north of Pensacola . The CDP is crossed by Florida State Road 89 .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 227 inhabitants were distributed over 112 households. 97.4% of the population described themselves as whites and 1.3% as Indians . 1.3% said they belonged to several ethnic groups. 0.4% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 35.5% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 28.0% of all households. 71.0% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring).
