Tiger Point is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Rosa County in the US state of Florida with 3,090 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Tiger Point is located on the Fairpoint Peninsula between Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound (part of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway ) on the Gulf Coast of the Florida Panhandle . The CDP is located around 30 km south of Milton and around 20 km southeast of Pensacola . The CDP is crossed by US Highway 98 ( SR 30 ) and Florida State Road 281 .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 3090 inhabitants were distributed among 1332 households. 94.6% of the population identified themselves as whites, 0.8% as African American , 0.2% as Indians and 1.9% as Asian Americans . 0.7% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.7% to several ethnic groups. 3.4% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 31.0% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 34.7% of all households. 74.4% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.43 people and the average family size was 2.82 people.

24.5% of the population were younger than 20 years, 17.5% were 20 to 39 years old, 29.4% were 40 to 59 years old, and 28.5% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 46 years. 47.6% of the population were male and 52.4% were female.

The median annual income was $ 75,913, with 8.7% of the population living below the poverty line.
