Mulat is located around 5 km southwest of Milton and around 20 km northeast of Pensacola on Pensacola Bay.

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 259 inhabitants were distributed over 61 households. 93.1% of the population identified themselves as whites , 0.4% as African American , 0.8% as Indians and 1.5% as Asian Americans . 1.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.1% to several ethnic groups. 4.6% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 31.4% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 24.8% of all households. 74.3% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.41 people and the average family size was 2.76 people.
