Pace is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Rosa County in the US state of Florida with 20,039 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Pace is about 5 km west of Milton and about 10 km north of Pensacola . The CDP is crossed by US Highway 90 ( SR 10 ).

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 20,039 inhabitants were distributed among 7,878 households. The population density was 824.7 inh / km². 92.1% of the population identified themselves as whites , 1.9% as African American , 1.0% as Indians and 1.5% as Asian Americans . 0.9% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.7% to several ethnic groups. 3.6% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 23.7% of all households lived in 39.2% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 77.7% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.72 people and the average family size was 3.06 people.

29.0% of the population were younger than 20 years, 22.2% were 20 to 39 years old, 31.4% were 40 to 59 years old, and 17.4% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 39 years. 48.9% of the population were male and 51.1% were female.

The median annual income was $ 60,394, with 8.7% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 98.10% of the population and 1.90% spoke Spanish .
