The Municipio San Pedro (formerly also: San Pablo ) is a district in the Pando department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The municipality of San Pedro is one of three municipalities in the Manuripi province and includes its eastern area. It is bordered to the west by the municipality of Puerto Rico , to the south and southeast by the municipality of San Lorenzo and the municipality of Puerto Gonzales Moreno of the province of Madre de Dios , to the east by the department of Beni , and to the north by the municipality of Villa Nueva of the province of Federico Román and to the municipality of Ingavi in the province of Abuná .

The municipality extends between about 10 ° 48 'and 11 ° 20' south latitude and 66 ° 02 'and 67 ° 00' west longitude, its expansion from west to east is up to 100 kilometers and from north to south up to 40 kilometers .

The municipality comprises 38 municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is the town of San Pedro on the northern edge of the district with 196 inhabitants. The municipality of San Pedro is located in the Bolivian part of the Amazon basin in the tropical rainy climate of the equatorial zone.
