Emergence

The album was recorded from July 5, 2011 to April 2012 in various American studios. Most of the songs were written by the band themselves, but well-known songwriters such as Diane Warren , Desmond Child or Jim Vallance were also involved. The album was created in different phases, the first attempt took place in 2006, then followed a longer phase after the world tour in 2007, which lasted until 2009. In 2009 singer Steven Tyler almost left the band, which was looking for a successor in early 2010. However, the differences were resolved in February 2010. After another tour in autumn 2010, the band went to the studio in summer 2011.
