Nückel ( Low German Nückel ) is a district of Bexhövede and now part of the unified community Loxstedt in Lower Saxony Cuxhaven .

geography

Nückel is located southeast of the seaside town of Bremerhaven, a few kilometers away, and near the federal highway 71 . The place lies between the settlements of Loxstedt-Hohewurth and Bexhövede.

history

The historic village and estate was a parish in the Bexhövede parish and belonged to the Altluneberg house bailiff in the Beverstedt Börde . At the same time it was subordinate to the aristocratic Beverstedt court. During the several years of French times, Nückel became part of the Bexhövede municipality in the canton of Bremerlehe . In 1840 Nückel became a rural community . From 1852 to 1859 it belonged to the Beverstedt office , then to the Lehe office until 1885 and finally to the Geestemünde district from 1885 onwards . The district of the same name was formed in 1876. The village had only 30 inhabitants on December 1, 1910 and lost political influence when the municipality and district were incorporated into Bexhövede in 1929. After Bexhövede also lost its independence on March 1, 1974, Nückel belongs to the municipality of Loxstedt.

Today the houses are on Nückel Street, named after the district . The agricultural village (cattle breeding) also has a bus stop of the same name on Bundesstraße 71. The VBN line 575 and the collective call taxi 75 enable journeys in the direction of Bremerhaven and Beverstedt.
