history

Lanhausen belonged historically to the parish of Stotel and to the offices of Stotel, Stotel-Vieland and Lehe and later to the districts of Geestemünde and Wesermünde . During the French period , the place was assigned to the Stotel commune for three years. In 1840 the place became a rural community. The Lanhausen district was formed in 1876. Welle, however, originally belonged to the parish of Wulsdorf , but otherwise belonged to the same offices as Lanhausen. The place also became a rural municipality in 1840. The district of the same name existed from 1876 to 1929.

Incorporations

The community and district of Welle were incorporated into Lanhausen on August 1, 1929.

In the course of the regional reform in Lower Saxony , which took place on March 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality of Lanhausen was incorporated into the unified municipality of Loxstedt.

Blazon : "In green over silver waves, a jumping silver horse over a golden shamrock ."
Justification of the coat of arms: The horse and the clover are reminiscent of horse breeding in the community. The waves indicate the location of the community on the Lune .
