NGC 1694 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Eridanus at the southern sky . It is estimated to be 171 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years across.
The galaxies NGC 1699 , NGC 1700 , IC 2102 are in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on January 9, 1880 by the French astronomer Édouard Stephan .
