NGC 1671 = IC 395 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Orion in the northern sky . It is around 279 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 75,000 light years .
The object was discovered on October 20, 1889 by the astronomer Lewis Swift .
