NGC 1665 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 119 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 65,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 1656 , IC 2094 , IC 2095 , IC 2098 .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on October 5, 1785 .
