NGC 1650 is a cD galaxy of the Hubble type E4 in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is around 477 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 330,000 light years .
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 393 .
The object was discovered by Francis Leavenworth on November 12, 1885 .
