IC 393 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is around 520 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 110,000 light years .
In the same area of ​​the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 1650 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 7, 1891 .
