IC 376 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type S in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 427 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 75,000 ly. 
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 375 , IC 377 , IC 378 , IC 380 .
The object was discovered on October 14, 1891 by Stéphane Javelle .
