IC 411 is a lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Rabbit south of the celestial equator . It is an estimated 420 million light years from the Milky Way and about 150,000 light years across.
The galaxy IC 408 is located in the same area of ​​the sky .

The Type Ia supernova SN 2012H was observed here.

The object was discovered in February 1889 by the American astronomer Lewis A. Swift .
