Sormonne is a French commune with 544 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the arrondissement Charleville-Mézières , the canton Rocroi (until 2015: canton Renwez ) and the municipality association Vallées et Plateau d'Ardenne .

Sormonne is located in the Ardennes Regional Nature Park, founded in 2011 . Sormonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Harcy in the north, Lonny in the east and northeast, Ham-les-Moines in the southeast, Remilly-les-Pothées in the south and southwest and Murtin-et-Bogny in the west.
