NGC 1621 = NGC 1626 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E4 in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 197 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 80,000 ly. a. the galaxies NGC 1627 and NGC 1628 .
The property was discovered by Francis Preserved Leavenworth in 1886 .
