NGC 1625 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SB (rs) b: in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 209 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 130,000 ly. In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1618 and NGC 1622 .
The object was discovered on November 24, 1827 by the astronomer John Herschel .
