NGC 6968 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Aquarius on the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 283 million light years from the Milky Way and about 125,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Edouard Stephan on August 11, 1883 .
