The 2006/07 season was the 25th edition of the highest Finnish women's ice hockey league , the Naisten SM-sarja . The league is organized by the Finnish ice hockey association Suomen Jääkiekkoliitto . The championship was won for the eighth time by the Espoo Blues .

mode

Initially, all teams played a simple round with a return leg. The first two teams in the preliminary round qualified directly for the play-off semi-finals, while the other four participants in the quarter-finals played off two other participants in the semi-finals. The two quarter-final losers then played off the participants in the relegation in the play-downs.

The play-offs were carried out in the best-of-five mode . There was only one game for third place.

Semifinals

In the semi-finals on February 22nd, 24th, 25th and 27th 2007, the teams in the first four places competed against each other according to the best-of-five mode; The 1st played against the worse placed quarter-final winner and the 2nd against the better placed. Play-downs

Relegation

The team Tappara Tampere was able to assert itself against the winner of the I-Divisioona, APV Kuortane , so that there were neither promoted nor relegated.
