Nataliya Sinişin ( Ukrainian Ната́лія І́горівна Сини́шин ; Azerbaijani Nataliya Sinişin ; born July 3, 1985 in Sosniwka , Lwow Oblast ) is a former Ukrainian , since 2014 Azerbaijani wrestler . In 2009 and 2012 she was European champion in the weight class up to 55 kg body weight.

Career

Nataliya Sinişin started wrestling as a teenager in 1998. She is a member of Dynamo / Spartak Lviv and is or was trained by Viktor Glibenko and Oleg Sasonow. After completing her studies in physical education, she worked z. Currently only as a wrestler. The 1.60 meter tall athlete starts either in the weight class up to 55 kg or in the up to 59 kg body weight.

It appeared on the international wrestling mat for the first time in 2005. It took 4th place at the World Cup in Clermont-Ferrand in the weight class up to 59 kg behind Ayako Shōda , Japan , Sally Roberts , USA and Yoselin Rojas Urbica, Venezuela . Then she came at the Junior World Championships in Vilnius in the same weight class after two wins and two losses against Kei Yamana, Japan and Viktorija Grigorjewa from Latvia on the 5th place. A month later she celebrated her greatest success to date, namely in Wroclaw she became the European Junior Champion . With Julia Ratkewitsch from Belarus , Larissa Kanajewa from Russia and Anna Swiridowska from Poland she referred excellent wrestlers to the places.

Nataliya Sinişin also celebrated great success in the years 2006 to 2009. It started with a 3rd place at the 2006 World Championships in Guangzhou in the weight class up to 59 kg. You defeated there u. a. Erin Tomeo from the United States and Marianna Sastin from Hungary . She suffered a defeat from Su Lihai from China . In 2007 she was runner-up in the weight class up to 55 kg at the European Championships in Sofia . In the final battle she lost against Natalja Golz from Russia. Before she had u. a. Defeated Anna Gomis from France and Ludmila Cristea from Romania. At the World Championships that year in Baku , she again won a bronze medal. After a defeat against the surprise world champion Audrey Prieto from France, she won this medal by beating Sandra Roa from Colombia .

Nataliya Sinişin won another bronze medal at the 2008 European Championships in Tampere . After a loss to Elvira Mursalowa from Azerbaijan, she won this medal by winning over Agata Pietrzyk from Poland and Tatjana Bochan from Belarus. In 2009 she celebrated her first title win at an international championship among women. She became European champion in the weight class up to 55 kg in Vilnius . On the way to this success she defeated Silwia Bilanska from Poland, Valentina Minguzzi from Italy and Alena Filipawa from Belarus.

These successes were clouded by the poor performance of Nataliya Sinişin at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and at the 2009 World Cup in Herning / Denmark . In Beijing she lost her first fight against Marcie van Dusen from the United States, was eliminated and only came in 12th place. In Herning she came to a victory over Um Ji-Eun from North Korea , but lost in her next fight against Ana Maria Pavăl from Romania and ended up in 11th place.

It then performed almost even worse at the international championships in 2010. At the European Championships in Baku she lost again to Ana Maria Pavăl and came in 10th place and at the World Championships in Moscow she lost to Johanna Mattsson from Sweden and even ended up in 21st place. In 2011 it was not used at any international championships.

Nataliya Sinişin then found her way back on the road to success at the European Championships in Belgrade in 2012 , where she won her second European title by beating Sofia Matsson in the final.

In 2015 she won the bronze medal for Azerbaijan at the 2015 European Games .
