The 1992/93 season was the 46th regular staging of the National League B , the second highest Swiss league in ice hockey . The six best placed teams qualified for the NLA relegation , in which HC Davos and EHC Olten prevailed and achieved promotion. The SC Langnau and the SC Lyss went straight to the third highest division, the first division.

In the main round, each of the ten teams played 36 games. The six best-placed teams qualified for the NLA relegation. The other four teams had to compete in the relegation for relegation, the two losers of which were relegated directly to the third division. Each team received two points for a win and one point for a tie. If you lost, you didn't get any points.
