Niclas Bock (born July 31, 1990 in Düsseldorf ) is a German duathlete and triathlete .

Career

Niclas Bock grew up in Breitscheid and first came into contact with club sports when he started playing football at the age of seven.

Triathlon professional since 2004

When he came into contact with the triathlon for the first time and was invited to a trial training session, his ambitions changed and he has been a professional athlete since 2004.

His career began at TuS Breitscheid and from 2008 onwards led to the Triathlon Team Ratingen 08 via the EJOT Team TV Buschhütten . His current club is the Cologne Triathlon Team 01 . There he supports the teams in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga.

In September 2009 he was in the United States Duathlon World Champion in the age group 18-19 years. In 2010 he won the Austria Triathlon in the middle distance with a new course record.

In 2010 he was also the German Duathlon Champion in the U-23 class. In June 2011 he was third in the German championship on the triathlon middle distance.

In October 2013 he successfully started the long distance for the first time in Barcelona. With his time of 8 hours and 29 minutes for the long distance (3.86 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.195 km running) he entered the best list of German triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Niclas Bock lives in Kempten (Allgäu) . He has not appeared internationally since 2018.
