Nina Eggert
Nina Eggert (* March 12, 1977 in Neumünster as Nina Fischer ) is a German trainer and former triathlete and four times runner-up at Ironman Germany in Frankfurt (2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006).
Career
Nina Fischer first appeared in 1992 as the German runner-up among the juniors. From then until 1997 she was a member of the youth and junior team of the German Triathlon Union (DTU).
In 1997 she was third in Finland at the Junior European Triathlon Championships on the short distance triathlon (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running). In Frankfurt am Main she took second place four times, once third and once fourth place on the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running). When it started in 2006 (2nd place) and 2007 (3rd place), the event was also advertised by the organizer as the "Ironman European Championship".
German Vice-Masters Triathlon Middle Distance 2001
At the Allgäu Triathlon in 2001 she became German Vice-Champion in the middle distance. In 2002 she became European champion with the team of the German Triathlon Union (DTU). She has been married to the triathlete Ralf Eggert since 2004 .
Nina Fischer initially studied sports science with the minor subjects economics and Scandinavian studies at the University of Kiel and started for the USC Kiel Vitalia team .
Accident and resignation in 2008
In 2008 she had a training accident with serious injuries (fracture of the base of the skull and collarbone ). She therefore had to cancel her planned start at Challenge Roth a few weeks later . She then ended her active career as a professional triathlete and trained the female offspring of the DTU until 2012.
At the same time, from 2008 to 2011, she completed a professionally integrated diploma trainer course at the Cologne Trainer Academy of the DOSB , which she completed as a qualified triathlon trainer .
Swiss Triathlon since 2012
Since November 1, 2012, she has been responsible for the next generation of the Swiss Triathlon Association, Swiss Triathlon .
