Nils Ole Oftebro (born December 1, 1944 in Sarpsborg ) is a Norwegian actor and voice actor .

Career

Oftebro completed an acting training at Statens teaterhøgskole in 1965 , together with the well-known Norwegian actors Ane Hoel , Knut Husebø and Katja Medbøe . He then received employment from 1968 at Det Norske Teatret . At the Norwegian Fjernsynsteatret (television theater) he worked from 1969 to 1971 and in the period 1982 to 1984. He has performed at the Nationaltheatret since 1971. Since 1987 he has been the artistic director of the Torshovteatret , a side stage of the Nationaltheatret.

In the period from October 1968 to the present, Oftebro had over 110 different roles. Among other things, he played in the Norwegian Olsenbanden series, in the last film Olsenbandens siste stikk , the state secretary and head of the Hallandsen department. He had his best-known speaking role in the Norwegian dubbing in Walt Disney - cartoons as Kater Karlo ( Svarte-Petter ) and in the television series Hotel Cæsar his most famous appearances as Viggo Hauge . In addition to his numerous film appearances, he was also active as a television presenter , for example in the Norwegian entertainment series Fangene på fortet , the Norwegian version of Fort Boyard and in the reality TV series Robinsonekspedisjonen .

Open air theaters

In 1968, Oftebro first took part in the open-air play The Game of St. Olav ( Spelet om Heilag Olav ) in Stiklestad . He played King Olav the Saint in 1974, 1975, 1976, 1991, 1993 and 1995. He also played the role of the farmer of Sul in the play .

Nils Ole Oftebro continued to play in 2007 and 2009 in the Steigen sagaspill in the Steigen municipality in Nordland . There he played the main role of King Sigar, a hard-boiled Viking chief. Oftebro had to speak his role in the Norwegian dialect of the climbing dialect . His wife Anette Hoff played the King's sister in the same performance in 2009; Wulfhild of Norway ( Ulvhild ). Nils Ole Oftebro was also the director of the "Spelet om St. Hallvard" ( plays about St. Hallvard ) and also had a small role in the play. The festival was by the Norwegian religious historian and university lecturer Ingvild Sælid Gilhus in Lier arranged and had its premiere on 13 August 2008. Awards

Oftebro received the Amanda in 1986 for the best male leading role in television theater (Fjernsynsteatrets) in the play Du kan da ikke bare gå ... , and in 1998 for the best male supporting role in Thranes metode . He also received the Critics' Prize in 1990 and the Stiklestadprisen in 1998 . In 2003 he was named as the "Best Audio Book Voice " ( Årets lydbokstemme ) in Norway. In 2006 Oftebro received the Heddaprisen for Best Supporting Actor in the play "Et spansk stykke".

Private

Oftebro is married to Hotel Cæsar star Anette Hoff , whose son Jonas Hoff Oftebro is also an actor. Nils Ole Oftebro was previously married to the actress Kaja Korsvold , whose marriage had three children, including the actor Jakob Oftebro .
