history

The Nundorf mill was first mentioned in a document in 1317. The name means "in the poor (no need corresponding = little productive) soils". During the Thirty Years' War , the Nundorf miller was tortured by marauding mercenaries in 1621 and his money was extorted.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Nundorfermühle belonged to Kaubenheim . The mill had the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Ipsheim as the landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth, the Nundorfermühle was given house number 79 in the town of Kaubenheim.

As part of the community edict, Nundorfermühle was assigned to the Kaubenheim tax district formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the rural community of Kaubenheim formed in 1817 .

In 1969 the milling operation was given up. The mill has been used to generate electricity ever since. On January 1, 1978 Nundorfermühle was incorporated into the Ipsheim market as part of the regional reform .
