history
Like the surrounding towns, Eichelberg is said to have originated between the 6th and 8th centuries. The place 1303/13 in was first mentioned by name Würzburg fief books ". Henry de Tenne hole tenet 6 mansos in villis Eichelsberg et Holczhusen" 1381 sold Arnold of Seckendorf Hoheneck with land and forest to the Nuremberg Castle Count Friedrich V in 1410 and in 1414 bought the Heilsbronn Monastery there two goods. From 1588 the place belonged to the Bavarian Oberamt Hoheneck .
At the end of the 18th century there were 11 properties in Eichelberg. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Vogtamt Lenkersheim . The village and township government had the box office Ipsheim held. The landlords were the principality of Bayreuth (box office Ipsheim: 4 estates, 1 house; box office Neuhof : 1 estate, 1 little house) and the imperial city of Windsheim (2 estates, 2 forage estates). In 1799 there were eight properties in the village, 3 of which were subordinate to the imperial city of Windsheim. The place was already praised for its stone fruit growing.
In 1810 Eichelberg came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the Ipsheim tax district in 1811 . In 1817 the rural community Ipsheim was formed, to which Eichelberg belonged. With the second community edict (1818), Eichelberg broke up with Bühlberg , Hoheneck and Holzhausen and formed its own rural community. The administration and jurisdiction of the rural community Eichelberg was subordinate to the Regional Court of Windsheim and the financial administration to the Ipsheim Rent Office . From 1862 Eichelberg was administered by the Uffenheim district office (renamed the Uffenheim district in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Windsheim Rent Office ( renamed Windsheim tax office in 1920 ). The jurisdiction remained with the District Court of Windsheim until 1879, from 1880 District Court of Windsheim . The municipality had an area of 2.827 km².
On July 1, 1972, Eichelberg was incorporated into Ipsheim as part of the regional reform .
