Obama ( Japanese 小 浜 市 , - shi , dt. "Small beach") is a city in the prefecture of Fukui , Japan .

Obama is located south of Fukui and north of Kyoto on Wakasa Bay .

Obama is an old royal seat that was ruled by the following daimyo:

  • 1585-1600, Kinoshita
  • 1600-1634, Kyōgoku

Obama was granted city ​​status on January 15, 1955 .
