Oebles-Schlechtewitz is a district of the city of Bad Dürrenberg in the Saalekreis in the state of Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
Oebles-Schlechtewitz is located between Halle , Leipzig and Naumburg south of Bad Dürrenberg not far from the Saale on the border with the Burgenland district . The place consists of the Oebles in the west and Schlechtewitz in the east, both have grown together. Through the hollow in which the village is located, a small stream flows northwest to the Saale, which waters the Oebles village pond. 500 meters west of the village is Kleinkorbetha that already to the neighboring municipality of Weissenfels heard. To the east is the 129 m high mound of corpses.
history
Until 1815, Oebles and Schlechtewitz belonged to the Hochstift-Merseburg office of Lützen , which had been under Electoral Saxon sovereignty since 1561 and belonged to the Secondogeniture Principality of Saxony-Merseburg between 1656/57 and 1738 . By the resolutions of the Vienna Congress both places with the western part of the Office Lutzen were ceded in 1815 to Prussia and the political reorganization of Prussia in 1816 the county Merseburg in the administrative district of Merseburg of Saxony Province allocated. Both districts formed the place Oebles-Schlechtewitz as early as the 19th century. Lignite has been mined in the village since the 19th century .
Oebles-Schlechtewitz was incorporated into the city of Bad Dürrenberg on July 1, 2008. Until then it was the smallest community in the Saalekreis.
