The local public transport company Merseburg-Querfurt ( PNVG ) is responsible for local public transport in the Saalekreis .
history
On May 1st, 1992 the local passenger transport company Querfurt mbH was founded, which served the former district of Querfurt . By amalgamating the districts of Querfurt and Merseburg to form the district of Merseburg-Querfurt, the passenger local transport company Querfurt mbH also merges with the passenger transport company Merseburg GmbH and forms today's PNVG. In 1998 the transport company became part of the newly established Central German Transport Association .
Service area
The area served is the former Merseburg-Querfurt district, which was merged with the Saalkreis in 2007 to form the Saalekreis . Most bus routes operate in the Merseburg area .
