The Okres Snina (German District Snina ) is an administrative unit in the east of Slovakia with 39,204 inhabitants ( 2,004 square kilometers) and an area of 805th

It is the easternmost Okres of Slovakia and borders in the north on Poland , in the east on Ukraine , formerly Carpathian Ukraine , in the south on the Okres Sobrance in Košický kraj and in the west on the Okres Humenné .

Historically, it lies entirely in the former Semplin County (see also the list of historical counties in Hungary ).
