Oliver Konietzny

Oliver Konietzny (born November 24, 1987 in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe ) is a German actor .

Life

Oliver Konietzny completed his acting studies at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich from 2008 to 2012 . In 2011 he received a training grant from the German Stage Association .

Before completing his training, he had his first theater engagement at the Münchner Kammerspiele (2011–2012). In the 2012/13 season he was engaged at Theater Erlangen , where he played Damis, Orgon's son, in Tartuffe (director: Dominik von Gunten) and the suitor Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice (director: Robin Telfer). Further theater engagements followed at the Theaterhaus Jena (2013, in Der Meister and Margarita ), at the "Studio Naxos" in Frankfurt am Main (from 2014), at the Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt am Main (2015) and at the Staatstheater Darmstadt (season 2016/17) .

Konietzny has also been in front of the camera for film, cinema and television since 2011. He made his cinema debut in 2011 in a supporting role as the juvenile delinquent Alex in the film drama Guilt are Always Others by director Lars-Gunnar Lotz . He also played a supporting role as Ioannis in the police thriller We Were Kings , where he played a member of a youth gang. Konietzny took on his first leading role in cinema as a GDR youth Alex in the mid-1980s dance film Dessau Dancers (2014), where he was enthusiastic about breakdance as a member of a clique of friends , founded a hip-hop band and was targeted by the GDR state power.

In the two-part TV series Die Dasslers - Pioneers, Brothers and Rivals (2016), he embodied the young Horst Dassler . In the television comedy Suddenly Turk (first broadcast: October 2016), he played the young Hanoverian musician Jim, alongside Nikola Kastner . In the ARD crime series Der Kroatien-Krimi he played the Split- based assistant cook and anti-neo-Nazi activist Stjepan in the crime thriller Mord auf Vis (first broadcast: January 2018) .

He also acted in several television series in leading and supporting roles. In the 90-minute SOKO Leipzig series special Two Sisters (first broadcast: September 2014) he played, alongside Therese Hämer and Eleonore Weisgerber , the adopted son or biological son of the two owners of a Leipzig auction house . In the mystery television series Arman's Secret , he was seen in the first season in 2015 in one of the leading roles; he embodied the magician Garwin, the adversary and rival of the main male character Arman ( François Goeske ).

He also had episode roles in the television series Um Himmels Willen (2014, as the young kidnapper Daniel Fromm), Koslowski & Haferkamp (2014, as investment advisor Robert Gürtler), The Public Prosecutor (2015, as the winemaker's son Felix Baumgard, the suspected brother of murdered main heirs, next to Meike Droste ) and again in SOKO Leipzig (2017, as taxi driver and suspect Timo Klimaschevski, in the last case of Andreas Schmidt-Schaller as chief detective Hans-Joachim “Hajo” Trautzschke).

He had other episode roles in the 4th season of the TV series WaPo Bodensee (as " Hallodri " Alex Jessen on record ) and in the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante , which was broadcast in March 2020.

In the TV comedy Many Cows and a Black Sheep , which premiered on Das Erste in January 2020 , Konietzny played alongside Matthias Brenner, the veterinarian Martin Müller, who had failed in university research and who worked in his father's country veterinary practice , to whom he always had a tense relationship when representation steps in.

Konietzny also works as a speaker for radio plays and documentaries . He lives in Frankfurt am Main.
