The Republic of China took part in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London with a delegation of 26 male athletes in twelve competitions in six sports. In addition, five artists (four men and one woman) took part in the art competitions.
None of the athletes managed to win a medal. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was basketball player Wee Tian Siak .
