Omuzbaşı (kurd. Şükrük ) is a village in the Diyadin district of the Turkish province of Ağrı . Omuzbaşı is located in Eastern Anatolia at 1,850 m above sea level, about 8 km northwest of Diyadin, near the road between Ağrı and Doğubeyazıt .

The original name of Omuzbaşı (Turkish shoulder tip) is Şükrük or Şührük. The name was changed after 1945. The census of 1945 lists the village only in the form Şührük. The name Şükrük is registered with the land registry.

In 1945 the population of the then Şührük was 120. In 1985 there were 694 people in Omuzbaşı and in 2009 the village had 667 inhabitants.
