Ouanary is a commune in the overseas department of French Guiana in northern South America. With 200 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), Ouanary is the smallest municipality in French Guiana in terms of population.

Ouanary is located in the northeast of French Guiana, on the small brook Ouanary , which flows into the Oyapock shortly afterwards . The main settlement is in a small clearing in the forested mountainous country of Guiana . Ouanary borders on Brazil to the east, the municipality of Saint-Georges to the south, Régina to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the north .
