Oxana Borissowna Kazakowa ( Russian Оксана Борисовна Казакова ; born April 8, 1975 in Leningrad ) is a Russian figure skater who started in pair skating .
Oxana Kazakova started figure skating at the age of four. Her first figure skating partner was Andrei Mochow. With him she was fourth at the Junior World Championships in 1991 . In the same year she changed partners and ran from then on with Dmitri Sukhanov . With him she was 15th at the 1993 World Cup .
From 1995 Oxana Kasakowa started with Artur Dmitrijew , who wanted to continue his successful career after separating from Natalja Mishkutjonok . They were trained by Tamara Moskvina . Their training facility was the Jubilejni Sports Palace . They became European champions in Sofia in 1996 and vice-European champions in Milan in 1998 . They won their only world championship medal with bronze in 1997 in Lausanne . The greatest success of the couple Kasakowa and Dmitrijew, however, was the Olympic victory in 1998 in Nagano in front of their favorite compatriots Jelena Bereschnaja and Anton Sicharulidze . After the 1998 World Cup , they ended their amateur career and switched to the professionals .
Oxana Kasakowa was married to Alexei Nowitsky from 1996 to 2000. In 2004 she married Konstantin Kowalenko, and their daughter was born a year later. In 2008 the couple separated. Kasakowa works as a trainer in St. Petersburg. She also appeared in figure skating shows on Russian television.
