Tourism and sightseeing

A nature park academy holds numerous events for further education.

There are special places in the nature park that are known as nature park jewels. These are natural beauties, natural monuments or places of power that have often developed through centuries of interaction between nature and humans, for example gorges, caves, ponds, moors, waterfalls and sources of origin. These locations are easily accessible and freely accessible.

Natural sights

In the Hirschbirnbaumallee in the Pöllauer Tal there are still large stocks of Pöllauer Hirschbirne. This pear is an old Styrian variety, the name of which is derived from the word "autumn" ( Hiascht ), as it can only be harvested from mid-October. The Pöllauberg theme gardens are an integral part of the landscape of the nature park. In total there are 10 different and freely accessible themed gardens, such as schnapps garden, herb garden, rose garden, pheasant garden, etc.

The Kroisbach in the former municipality of Schönegg has cut into the landscape above Schönaudorf, so that the "Schönauklamm" was created.

Built sights

In addition to the natural sights, there are also man-made structures that help shape cultural life in the region. These sights include NaturKRAFTpark, bee and bumblebee viewing path, bird theme trail, interactive forest trail in Masenberg, Hirschbirn hiking trails, Alpine herb garden Käfer, herb garden Cividino, Marien's pilgrimage church in Pöllauberg, the "Styrian St. Museum Echophysics with exhibition "Radiation - the exposed person" in Pöllau.

The valley is developed with hiking trails over a length of 180 km.
