For the first time since 2005, the 66th edition was not part of the UCI ProTour since its inception . The organizer ASO excluded his races from the racing series after the dispute with the UCI .
The start of the first stage was moved from Amilly to La Chapelotte due to heavy rainfall, which shortened the stage from 184.5 to 93.5 km.
