Pavlogradka ( Russian Павлогра́дка ) is an urban-type settlement in the Omsk Oblast in Russia with 7582 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is about 90 km as the crow flies south of the Omsk Oblast Administrative Center in the southern part of the West Siberian lowlands . The border with Kazakhstan is a good 15 km away.
Pawlogradka is the administrative center of the Rajons Pawlogradski and is the seat and only town in the municipality Pawlogradskoje gorodskoje posselenije.
history
The place was founded in 1898 as the first village in the area of today's Rajons. The place name is derived from the area of origin of the first resettlers from Ujesd Pavlograd in the Yekaterinoslav Governorate , now Ukraine . On May 25, 1925 Pavlogradka became the administrative seat of a raion named after him, and since 1984 it has had the status of an urban-type settlement.

The regional road 52K-3, which connects Omsk with the neighboring district center of Russkaya Polyana , runs past the eastern edge of Pavlogradka . The nearest train station is a good 40 km northeast of Shatwa near the Novouralski settlement , on the "Central Siberian Magistrale" Omsk - Irtyshskaya - Karassuk - Srednesibirskaya (near Barnaul ).
