Krutinka ( Russian Крути́нка ) is an urban-type settlement in the Omsk Oblast in Russia with 7333 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is about 170 km as the crow flies northwest of the administrative center of Omsk in the southern part of the West Siberian lowlands . It is located on the south bank of the 71 km² green lake Iksee , the westernmost of the Great Krutinka Lakes (Bolschije Krutinskije osjora), which are drained from the Oscha to the Irtysh .
Krutinka is the administrative center of the Rajons Krutinski and seat of the municipality Krutinskoje gorodskoje posselenije, which also includes the villages Kalatschiki (10 km northeast) and Samarowka (20 km south) and (10 km south-east) include the settlement Nowgorodzewo.
history
The place was founded in 1760 by residents of the western parts of the region ( Yalutorowsk , Wikulowo ); in addition, exiles and resettlers from the governorates of Poltava and Chernigov , now Ukraine , were settled. On May 25, 1925, Krutinka became the administrative seat of a Rajon named after him. Since 1968 the place has had the status of an urban-type settlement.

traffic
To the south, Krutinka is bypassed by the federal trunk road R402 Tyumen - Omsk. At the village, the regional road 52K-10, which leads in a southerly direction, branches off to the city of Nasyvaevsk , a good 50 km away , where the nearest train station is on the Trans-Siberian Railway .
