Peter Biele (born November 12, 1931 in Dresden ) is a German actor , writer and radio play author and speaker who worked in the GDR as well as in reunified Germany .

Life

Peter Biele was born in Dresden in 1931 as the son of a commercial clerk and a saleswoman . In his youth he felt the consequences of the war very closely, as his father had fallen and his hometown was in ruins . He withdrew from the destroyed environment by spending a lot of time in the "alternative" closed world of the theater. After all, he wanted to be absorbed in it as an actor. At the age of eighteen, after graduating from high school, he attended drama school in Berlin and practiced the art of acting for almost 20 years, initially in Altenburg, Dresden and Görlitz. Then he was engaged at the Landestheater Halle from 1965 to 1970 , where he learned a lot from under Horst Schönemann .

Nevertheless, he asked for change, not least because of critical assessments, because he had exaggerated acting or because his personal appreciation of the characters he embodied resonated. He went on various trips that inspired him to write poetry. He had been writing poetry since around 1961. In order to switch entirely to the field of poetry, he trained at the "Johannes R. Becher" Institute for Literature in Leipzig until the summer of 1973 . From then on he lived as a freelance writer. In the same year he was awarded the Mitteldeutscher Verlag advancement award for his poems. Also in 1973 he founded the circle of writing workers in the VEB Kombinat progress agricultural machinery Neustadt (Saxony) , which he headed for several years. The group's first texts appeared in the company newspaper , later there were separate publications, for example in the form of brochures. Biele was also responsible for the support group for writing workers in the district cabinet for cultural work. His own volume of poetry entitled Der Schindelmacher was published by Mitteldeutscher Verlag in 1974. In the combine progress he also built a workers' theater.

In 1977 he became party secretary in the Dresden district organization of the GDR Writers' Association . In the fall of 1977 his work on the comedian story “ Death in Costume” was completed and was published in the following year - again by Mitteldeutscher Verlag. In addition to poetry and prose, he wrote radio drama (radio plays), reports, travel reports, film scenarios and essays and contributed texts to theater evenings with a certain motto . In the course of theater, radio and television work, there was often a collaboration with the theater scholar and radio play author Elifius Paffrath , although many things remained unpublished, such as The veiled picture in Saalitz , which was designed as a radio play, but overflowing and therefore converted into a television film exposition . Bienne's role models during his time as a GDR author were Daniil Granin , Wladimir Tendrjakow , Justinas Marcinkevičius and the poet Giuseppe Ungaretti , for whom he was attracted by the laconicism and the sparseness of the poems, two characteristics that many of his own have.

After the wall came down , he got back into acting. From the beginning to the middle of the 1990s he was a member of the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz . He then had guest contracts at the comedies in Dresden, Berlin and Hamburg, as well as in Neuss and Hanover and with the Potsdam ensemble “Poetenpack”. From 1990 he worked for the magazine Mitteilungen of the Landesverein Sächsischer Heimatschutz in Dresden. In 1991 he gave lectures at the European School in Luxembourg .

In 1997 he moved from Dresden to Magdeburg to the author Ingrid Hahnfeld , whom he had met 40 years earlier at the Saxony State Theaters in Radebeul and with whom he got along very well in literary terms. During his time in Magdeburg, after he had published comments on the letters of the actress Traute Richter in Dresden , he presented three books, the last two of which were colored autobiographically . The Aquarian Dreams or The Riddles of the Queen of Sheba , published in 2004, was written around 1980, but was not released for publication by the GDR bodies.
