Peter Nix

Peter Nix (born June 12, 1967 in Cologne ) is a German cameraman .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1986, Peter Nix worked as a studio cameraman at Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln - Sprungbrett Theater. From October 1990 to May 1996 he was one of the first students from the old federal states to attend the camera course (minor in dramaturgy) at the "Konrad Wolf" University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg.

In 2002 Peter Nix won the German Camera Prize in the Feature Film / A1 section for Wie Feuer und Flamme in Cologne. The laudator was the director Connie Walther . The jury's reasoning:

In “Wie Feuer und Flamme” Peter Nix succeeded in finding appropriate moods for the opposing world of East and West, and he composes his pictures in a fresh and playful way. Added to this is the quality of its digital post-processing, which achieved a convincing color scheme of the historical period.

Peter Nix is ​​a member of the Federal Camera Association and the German Film Academy . He has lived in Berlin since 1990.
