Pia-Luise Aufrecht (born October 30, 1977 in Marbach am Neckar ) is a German show jumper .

Career

Until 2007

As an eleven-year-old girl, Pia-Luise Aufrecht, the daughter of Mercedes-AMG founder Hans Werner Aufrecht , won her first title with a pony with the team at the South German Indoor Championships . She was trained early on by Nelson Pessoa and Rodrigo Pessoa as well as Achaz von Buchwaldt . For several years, until autumn 2008, she trained at Gut Berl, Hendrik Snoek's facility , near Münster . Here she was trained by the then national show jumping trainer, Kurt Gravemeier . She rode for the AMG-La-Silla-Team until the last time the team competition of the Riders Tour was held in 2006. In 2005 she was the first ever amazon to win the elite prize at the 8th show jumping event ( CSI 3 * in Affalterbach).

Lock

The low point of her career was a six-month ban from participation in all competitions and performance tests, which lasted from September 11, 2007 to March 10, 2008 inclusive. This punishment was pronounced identical by the FEI and the German Equestrian Association . This ban was justified with the exceeding of the permitted limit value of the body's own hormone testosterone in the blood of the horse Carriere Zwei, which she used at the CSI 3 * Affalterbach 2006 . The rider justified this with the ingestion of the agent via the veterinarian-prescribed feed "Equine Anabolic". According to her, her stable veterinarian had denied the question whether this product contained substances prohibited in the competition; The consumer information enclosed with the preparation also confirmed this. After the results of the medication control became known, Aufrecht stated that, according to their research, the gamma-oryzanol contained in it would have increased testosterone production.

After the lock

After the ban, she was unable to build on her previous successes for a long time. The first major successes followed in 2012, for example Pia-Luise Aufrecht won the Grand Prix at the CSI Hachenburg .

Since November 2008 Pia-Luise Aufrecht has been living with her partner Gert-Jan Bruggink in Weerselo, the Netherlands . Both have a daughter born in July 2013 and a son born in March 2017.
