The place is located 12 kilometers east of Braunau am Inn and 21 kilometers west of Ried im Innkreis , directly west of Altheim . The place Pirath is in the Inn valley at 370  m above sea level. A. Höhe am Altbach, shortly before its confluence with the Mühlheimer Ache (Ach) .

The location includes around 90 buildings. Wenger Rotte Pirath , to the left of the brook, only has about 25 addresses. The Altbach is the municipality boundary here, the houses of Altheim on the other side of the stream also have the addresses Pirath (11 scattered houses), as well as Am Gießgraben (settlement, approx. 30), and Neupirath (approx. 30), that is the settlement the Mühlheimer Ache. Like most parts of the city itself, which are to the left of the Mühlheimer Ache, this area belongs to the Stern cadastral community.

The B148  Altheimer Straße passes the town, bypassing Altheim to the north, and here meets the L1095  Treubacher Straße , the beginning of which is the former town through of Altheim (Braunauer Straße) .

history

Here was a noble seat and Sedelhof Pireth together with a Hofmarks justified , in 1542 there is a Hanns Frawnberger zu Piret, in 1558 a Wiguläus Elrechinger zu Piret. It should have been today's Hofbauer estate .

Economy and Infrastructure

Pirath is today, except for the old stock and the two Altheimer settlements, primarily commercial area and business development area . There is a shopping park and several larger companies here.
