The Polish Library ( Biblioteka polska ) is a literary series of Polish works from the Middle Ages to the present for German-speaking readers. It is based on a funding initiative of the Robert Bosch Foundation and was founded and edited by Karl Dedecius and was published by Suhrkamp Verlag in Frankfurt am Main . The editorial team at the German Poland Institute (DPI) in Darmstadt was Andreas Lawaty (1982-2000), the editing team at Suhrkamp Verlag was Wolfram Schäfer (1982-19988), Bernd Schwibs (1988-1997), Olaf Irlenkäuser (1998-1999) and Birgit Weber (1999-2000). The series was completed in 2000. It comprises 50 volumes.
