Suzanne Vale is a drug and pill addict actress who has once again been released from rehab and is now trying to re-launch her acting career in Hollywood .

When she got a new role, the production company of her latest film made the condition that she moved in with her mother Doris Mann during the entire filming and lived with her there. The problem with this is that Vale has always had a complicated relationship with her mother, a former star whose daughter has been in the shadow of her life.
