Prëmetta or Prié Rouge is an autochthonous red wine variety from the Aosta Valley in Italy . The grape variety is grown in the municipalities of Avise , Saint-Nicolas , Arvier , Introd , Villeneuve , Aymavilles , Saint-Pierre , Sarre , Jovençan , Gressan , Aosta and Chambave up to an altitude of 800 m. Prëmetta belongs to a family of typical grape varieties from the Alpine regions of Valais and the Aosta Valley.

The name Prié Rouge originated from the initially only suspected relationship with the Prié and the reddish berries. DNA analyzes have confirmed this connection.
