Aymavilles is an Italian municipality with 2115 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) at the entrance to the Cogne Valley in the Aosta Valley .

Aymavilles consists of the districts of Bettex, Caouz, Cérignan, Chabloz, Champessolin, Champlan, Champleval-Dessous, Château, Chef-Lieu, Cheriettes, Chevril, Clos Savin, Crétaz Saint-Martin, Croux, Dialley, Ferrière, Folliex, Fournier, Glassier , La Camagne, La Cleyvaz, La Poyaz, La Roche, Micheley, Montbel, Moulins, Ozein (Belley, Chantel, Dailley, La Charrère, Murasses, Vers Les Prés, Ville), Pesse, Pompiod, Pont d'Aël, Saint- Léger, Saint Maurice, Seissogne, Sylvenoire, Turlin (Chanabertaz, Turlin Dessous, Turlin Dessus), Urbains, Venoir, Vercellod, Vieyes and Villetos.

The neighboring municipalities are Cogne , Gressan , Jovençan , Saint-Pierre , Sarre , Valsavarenche , Villeneuve .

In the middle of the village stands the Castello di Aymavilles of the Challant family , the most important of the former 220 noble families in the Aosta Valley. The castle is modeled on the type of a French donjon from the 12th century. The existence of the castle is documented until 1278. It was expanded considerably in 1357. The building cannot be visited inside, but the small park is often used for cultural events in summer. Aymavilles was believed to be one of the endpoints of the Pont d'Aël aqueduct in ancient times .

With the Les Crêtes winery , Aymavilles also owns one of the figureheads of viticulture in the Aosta Valley.

Between 1939 and 1945 the village had the Italianized name Aimavilla .
